BETR

Best European Trail Rider

The Algarve is the Land of The Trails so it’s only right to host here the competition that awards the best of the best when it comes to trail riding.

The winner of this competition will win a hand-made trophy and a full ticket for next year’s OWA event (OWATour, OWARace and 1 OWAWeekend - aprox 800€ value)

Do you have what it takes to be the next trail champion?

How does the BETR competition work?

In the cliffside trails right next to the OWARace track there’s tons of challenging sections, both downhills and uphills.

Amongst all of them we will select a few that start from a more begginer level to the gnarliest ones where you will need more than just skill, you’ll need to be a bit of a crazy rider as well!

The start of the competition will be a fairly easy section so everyone should try it. As we move along they will get more and more challenging. Each rider will have a few tries on each of the sections before we move on, if you can’t complete it within the time you’ll be eliminated!

The BETR competition will close the OWARace event so you’ll have plenty of time to practice in the days before.
